Josef Hoffmann and Kolo Moser establish the Wiener Werkstätte, literally translated into English as the "Vienna Crafts Studio" in Vienna, as a production co-operative of visual fine artists. Their aim was the renewal of art on the basis of a true craftsman´s skills and quality. Production from the Wiener Werkstätte covered all areas of residential life and cultured living.
